All W21C research activities fall under the over-riding theme of enhancing patient safety and quality of care. Four sub-themes, defined here, define specific research activities. Research in each of the sub-theme areas are coordinated by the W21C Leadership Group that ensures each proposed project fits into the W21C’s Research and Innovation Agenda. The maintenance of that Agenda is guided by the elements of a conceptual model for safety and quality of care developed by Dr. Jan Davies (the Winnipeg Model).
