Personal Belongings and Storage
Limited storage of research equipment or supplies can be found in the workspaces offered to researchers. These are locked storage cupboards and permission for use can be obtained from Shandra Kimpton. Researchers who choose this option should be aware that the Ward is not responsible for lost or stolen items, as research spaces are public and are accessed by others on the Unit.
Lastly, researchers are responsible for the keys used to lock their designated cabinets. If a key is lost or stolen, it should be reported immediately to the Ward and all expenses accrued for the key replacement will be the responsibility of the researcher.
Food and Other Services
Researchers and visitors have access to amenities such as the water cooler and microwave that are provided on the ward (located in the patient lounge). The nurses' lunch room is also available for researchers as a space to enjoy their lunch or coffee break. Meals and snacks can also be obtained from the cafeteria on the main floor of the building.
Parking
Researchers and visitors can park at designated parking locations within the Foothills Hospital grounds for a daily fee.
Extended rates are also offered to visitors/researchers that are planning to be on location for an extensive period of time. To gain these rates at the Foothills Medical Centre contact:
