The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) is a national body that provides Canada’s federal, provincial and territorial health care decision makers with credible, impartial advice and evidence-based information about the effectiveness and efficiency of drugs and other health technologies.
CADTH operates under on three mandated outcomes:
(1) Health Technology Assessment: To provide comprehensive, factual assessments of the clinical effectiveness, cost effectiveness, and broader impact of drugs, health technologies, and health systems.
(2) Common Drug Review: To expand on rigorous reviews of the clinical and cost effectiveness of drugs. Formulary listing recommendations for Canada’s publicly funded drug plans.
(3) Canadian Optimal Medication Prescribing & Utilization Service: Identification and promotion of evidence-based optimal drug therapy
