Debbie graduated from the University of Lethbridge’s nursing program in 2000. Her first nursing position was as an RN on Foothills Medical Centre Unit 61, the unit that was transformed into W21C. Debbie has travelled and practiced her nursing skills in Nashville, Philadelphia and Seattle in pediatrics, bone marrow transplant and medical and surgical units. Debbie eventually returned to Calgary and W21C because she missed working with the fabulous team. She became a clinical instructor for the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University and has taught in all three hospitals within Calgary on multiple units. Debbie has a passion for teaching and went back to school and completed a Master of Nursing, specializing in Nursing Education, in 2009. Debbie has since been working as a Clinical Nurse Educator at W21C.
