Jenny received a BA and an MA in Sociology from the University of Calgary. Her thesis examined how MS patients made the decision to have a controversial medical treatment. Prior to joining the University of Calgary, Jenny worked at Vecova Centre for Disability Services and Research developing and evaluating programs to improve the quality of life of persons living with disabilities. Her research interests focus exploring the patient experience, how patient utilize technology, and the impact of that chronic and degenerative disease can have on a patient. She has received extensive training the qualitative research methods and has worked collaboratively with her colleagues at the W21C to develop an Introduction to Qualitative Research Course. Jenny has been with W21C since 2015, and currently supports Dr. Kerry McBrien’s ENCOMPASS research program.
