Former Head of the Health Telematics Unit and Professor of Community Health Sciences and previous Director of the Office of Medical Education in the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, Dr Jennett is recognized internationally for her expertise in e-health, telehealth, health telematics, health informatics and health education. Penny is a pioneer in telehealth and she is known for her systematic approach to analyzing the evidence base behind using e-health solutions in clinical, management, and learning contexts – including for use in chronic care and rural/remote regions. She is recognized for her grantsmanship skills, is well published, and has received awards for both her research and teaching achievements.
