Pierre Wijdenes is a human factors researcher who enjoys the challenge of finding novel solutions to today’s health care demands. After graduating with a master’s degree in human factors and cognitive engineering in Bordeaux (France), Pierre consulted for a top biotech company in Paris. He is deeply committed to applying innovation and cutting edge technology to improve global health care.
In 2012, this passion led Pierre to the University of Calgary where he completed a PhD in BioMedical Engineering in 2017 by developing novel neuro-bionic technologies that can detect, characterize and modulate epileptic activity. Pierre is excited to be a part of the W21C inter-disciplinary team where he will apply his expertise to supporting human factors and usability testing.
