Dr. John Conly, MD, Professor of Medicine in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary and an infectious diseases physician with Alberta Health Services was named a member of the Order of Canada.
The Order of Canada recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community, and service to our nation, to enrich the lives of others and make a difference to our country. Dr. Conly was given this great honour for his national and international contributions to antimicrobial resistance, infection prevention and control, and dedication to innovation in healthcare through the founding of the W21C program.
Dr. Conly is also co-director of the Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases, and Medical Director of the W21C program in the O’Brien Institute for Public Health.
