2021 One Health Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference

The Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA) is excited to announce the One Health Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference presented by the ABVMA with funding support from Alberta Agriculture and Forestry.

This year’s conference will offer experts in animal and human health fields and environmental science a platform to share leading practices in antimicrobial stewardship and provide evidence informed information for all participants.

Who Should Attend?

  • Veterinary health practitioners (e.g., veterinarians, technologists)
  • Human health practitioners (e.g., physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, infection control professionals)
  • Diagnostic laboratory professionals in the animal, human and environmental sectors
  • Agriculture industry, service providers and commodity associations
  • Organizations that advocate for human patients (e.g., Canadian Patient Safety Institute, Patient and Family Advisory Group)
  • Antimicrobial stewardship policy decision-makers (e.g., government and professional associations)
  • Water and environment regulators
  • Environmental assessment businesses and staff
  • Academia (faculty and graduate students)

Session Information:

  • All sessions are in mountain standard time (MST).
  • All presentations will be recorded, and will be available to attendees on-demand for one month following the conference (until April 9, 2021).
  • Conference registration is complimentary and includes access to all three days.
  • CE Certificates will be emailed after the conference. Each day qualifies for four hours of approved CE credit for veterinarians and veterinary technologists.
  • CE certificates will be provided to attendees for live attendance only. On-demand viewing of the sessions after the event does not qualify for CE credit.
  • Session attendance reports will be used to confirm attendance in order to issue CE certificates accurately. Please contact the ABVMA if you have questions.
