What Does it Really Take? Establishing a Learning Health System Program

March 12 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

As our health system continues to advance the integration of evidence, operations, and innovation, we invite you to attend a hosted lunch presentation led by the Roy and Vi Baay Chair in Kidney Research as part of the Annual Visiting Scholar event, with valued co-sponsorship from the O’Brien Institute for Public Health (OIPH) and the Interdisciplinary Chronic Disease Collaboration (ICDC).

Our invited speaker Dr. Leora Horwitz, Professor of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, is an internationally recognized expert in learning health systems and pragmatic trials.

Dr. Horwitz will share the research and implementation insights on how rapid-cycle, randomized testing embedded in routine clinical care can generate actionable evidence at scale, improve outcomes, and accelerate health system changes.

Following the presentation, a moderated lunch discussion will dive deeper into the opportunities and challenges of adopting this model within our own system.
