AHS has developed 12 Strategic Clinical Networks focused on specific areas of health, designed to find new and innovative ways of delivering care that will provide better quality, better outcomes and better value for every Albertan. With funding from Alberta Innovates, W21C is conducting a mixed-method pragmatic evaluation of the organizational and operational structure of AHS’ SCNs and their impacts on processes and outcomes of care.

Prior to this project, members of the W21C conducted a pilot study to provide a comparative description and analysis of two clinical networks in Alberta. The findings were shared with Alberta Health Services to inform the strategic development of clinical networks into SCNs.
