Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Specialization in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary. Prior to joining W21C, she completed her undergraduate thesis exploring crutch length effects on upper limb kinematics using motion capture technology. She has also been involved in multiple biomedical device design projects through a summer research placement at the Technical University of Berlin and also participating in the Innovation 4 Health hackathon. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys playing board games, volunteering at the Foothills Medical Centre as a piano player, and travelling the world.
