Anna has a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Alberta. During this time, she completed her undergraduate thesis at the Cross Cancer Institute with a focus on the DNA damage response. Anna has also completed her graduate studies in the Master of Biomedical Technology program at the University of Calgary.

Prior to joining W21C, Anna has been involved in a wide variety of work, including interactive elementary science education and industrial environmental monitoring. Anna’s research interests include science communication, knowledge translation, and healthcare innovation.

Outside of work, Anna is an avid book-buyer and book-reader (which are two very distinct hobbies), as well as a nature enthusiast. You can often find her planning a trip to the mountains, to the beach, or to the library.
