Husaina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Calgary. She is passionate about building connections through clear communication and effective organizational support. She has completed several communications, marketing, social media, and co-op placements with organizations including Wings of Hope for Africa, Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids, CNOOC, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, and the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Through these roles, she developed experience in content creation, social media management, and digital communications across web, email, and newsletter platforms.
Prior to joining W21C, Husaina worked as a Junior Communications Specialist with the University of Calgary’s Office of External Relations, where she gained hands-on experience in video production, editing, and digital storytelling.
Outside of work, Husaina enjoys creative writing, reading literary fiction, cooking, and baking.
