Mackenzie is a Registered Nurse, graduating from the University of Alberta’s Bilingual Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in 2016. Prior clinical experience includes practice in the fields of oncology, and intensive palliative care. Mackenzie recently completed her graduate studies, a Master of Science in Nursing, at the University of Ottawa. Her thesis, a systematic review examining those factors associated with distress in families of children with cancer, was successfully defended in April 2022. Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys reading, hiking, and backcountry camping.
