Michelle is a recent graduate from the University of Calgary where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a Biomedical Specialization. She completed her undergrad thesis on a Review and Assessment of Biomedical Technologies to Support Aging-In-Place. Having a passion for healthcare, she has experience in healthcare research and has volunteered at long-term care facilities. She was previously a W21C summer student in 2017, where she worked on the Home Monitoring of Vital Signs project, which involved a literature review regarding the precision, accuracy, reliability, and validity of home vital signs monitoring technologies. Now returning as a research assistant, she will be continuing to work with W21C on a project regarding healthcare quality and safety.
