Nicole completed Masters of Biomedical Technology at the University of Calgary in 2017. Currently at W21C, she is working on the Prevent CDI-55 PRIHS study which aims to reduce hospital-acquired Clostridium difficile infection rates by using probiotics. She also works on the STRIVE study, sponsored by Pfizer Canada Inc. Previously, she completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Honours), majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Health and Society, at the University of Calgary. In the past, she has been involved in research focusing on genetics, immunology, and maternal/fetal health. In addition to research projects, Nicole works as a lake lifeguard in the summer and tutors students in math and science. Her personal interests include hiking, cooking, and travelling.
