Olivia graduated from the University of Athabasca’s Bachelor of Nursing program at Mount Royal College in 2005. Her first RN position was on W21C’s Unit 36. Shortly after graduation, Olivia travelled and worked in various avenues of nursing in Australia and New Zealand, ultimately returning to W21C in 2007. She committed herself to the dynamic world of internal medicine and medical teaching and in 2012 took on the new role of Medical Teaching Unit Flow Coordinator. In conjunction with the managers, Jennifer Cowles and Dr. Aleem Bharwani, Olivia created this coordinator role. She designed and carried out quality improvement projects for the unit and also promoted the understanding of the medical teaching teams hospital wide. In July 2013, Olivia transitioned into the unit manager position for Unit 36 where she continues today.
