Yamile earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Peru before moving to Canada in 2014 to complete her Master of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary. In her career, she has worked on healthcare research projects involving neuromodulation for depression in youth, investigating how dystonia affects the brain and mental health, and implementation science aimed at reducing low-value care. She is committed to advancing healthcare through evidence-based, patient-centered approaches and enjoys working on initiatives that improve systems and outcomes. Outside of work, she loves sewing, tackling DIY projects, and volunteering as a shift lead at AARCS, where she helps care for rescue dogs.
