Freshly arriving from the UK, Nicola has a background in English language teaching. She received her BA Modern Languages in Spanish, Czech and French from the University of Sheffield in 2013, and has lived and worked in the UK, Spain, the Czech Republic, Vietnam, and now Canada. More recently, she has branched out into education management, and spent two years working in operations for an English language summer school. Nicola has moved over to Calgary with Higher Education experience, directly from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she was managing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees programmes. Her specialty is in streamlining internal operational processes to ensure higher efficiency and functionality. She handles the day-to-day operations and administration of W21C, including coordinating events and supporting researchers and visitors to the centre.
